The ocean is an incomprehensibly large wonder and mostly unexplored. I used texture and mark making in procreate to give a hazy impression of what the ocean “feels” like rather than making sure to get an exact replica of the sea floor. No references were used and I relied on the unpredictable and colorful nature of the utopic waters in my imaginings.
