For this project, I exercised my skills using a limited palette. The blue marker was used as the sole transition shade, and i relied on different types of marks to express the changes in light. I used Brittany Broski as my model for this portrait so that I could express her distinct and emphasized features without attempting realism. I did not sketch for My first iteration, preferring to intuitively capture her features. however, the portrait did not feel balanced, so i was more precise in my next iteration and was pleased with the final result.
